Holy cow, are you sure you are not snow blowing down at the rock quarry
Techman,
Are those stock chute controls? I wonder if they'd work on my B2781? What did that cab come off of? It kinda looks like a walk behind SB? How is it to work in?
Yes those are the chute controls. I put them in a plastic j-box (painted Bota orange). The switches were okay (from Kubota) but they wanted you to drill the dash area. I made up the box and it is held on for winter with a couple of wing nuts. I used connectors on things so everything unplugs for removal in the warm seasons. They should work on your 2781. They are Kubota, but found them new on eBay several years ago.
As for the cab, I was in Sears one day and they had it on close-out. It was for a Sears tractor. It was under $100, so I bought it on speculation. With minor work it fit on the Bota. Back is open, which is fine as it keeps the head winds and blowing snow off of me. I have a new fan blade ordered which is a reverse flow. It should blow the warm air on me and make it even better. The cab goes on and off in about 30 minutes.

The blowers do get a little beat up from normal use. I touch mine up with spray paint every spring before I put it away. The orange can be painted with Chevy Orange engine paint #1620. It's almost an exact match. My blower is 6 years old & looks almost new after I paint it.
OH Dear, it bowed slightly when you lowered it and then wadded itself when it could not rotate freely, Ouch!!!
I just hope you have no more snow to deal with as this has turned into another
"Lucy you have some splaining to do!!!" Moments.
ANy chance you can have a new "proper size" driveline made in Syracuse and have the dealer foot the bill so that you can have your tractor tomorrow?
