Bird,
I must just own the leanest, meanest, bluest, machinest! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif I own a 1999 NH TC18 Hydro FWD, the manual says to do the following at 50 hours: change hydraulic filter, change h.s.t. filter, change engine oil, change engine filter, change fuel filter, check tire pressure, check wheel bolt torque, check all fluid levels. Transmission oil is changed every 300 hours.
I thought I remembered you orange guys talking on the old forum about changing the transmission oil at 50, even though it wasn't recommended? Anyway, I asked my dealer when I bought all the stuff for the 50 hour service and he said I only needed to replace what I lost in the filter change.
Are you sure your cousin read his manual? Or I suppose it's possible that they have different recommendations. The Kubota specs seem to vary from model to model also. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
