I was expecting it, and yup, you didn't disapoint!!!!

What is it?

I hate to say it, but so far, I've been snake free this year.

Eddie, it's our "friendly" resident Texas Rat Snake. So far this year we have seen 2 coral, 1 copperhead and 3 Rat snakes.

We had a snake expert speak at our community hall last week. I always thought copperheads would not budge and will strike you. The "expert" said that they are just stupid snakes that think they cannot be seen so they don't move. He also said that their are only four types of poisonous snakes in North America, they are: the Rattlers, Copperheads, Coral, and the Water Moccasins/Cottonmouths, He said Lee County has them all. He brought them all (live) with him along with an assortment of other snakes. During the presentation a awful storm blew in, the wind howled and the walls creaked... I thought this is not a good time to be hit by a tornado.

That sort of sounds like a real life horror movie!!!! Except instead of bad acting, you have bad animals. I bet it was interesting, but I can't comprehend why he needed to bring live snakes with him. Pictures are bad enough!!!!!!!!

Eddie, he did it so some of the people, especially the teenage boys could put the snakes around their necks and take phone pictures to send to their friends. It kind of put a friendly face on the snakes after showing pictures of graphic snake bites.

Hey Don. That's a good basis for a movie. They had Snakes on a Plane and they also had Twister. Maybe you could call it "Snakes in a Community Hall in a Twister." Whaddya think?

We had a pretty good storm come through the other day with just over 3 inches of rain. The hogs didn't seem to even notice it.
