I put down 4 2' X 2' concrete patio stones. I got the idea from someone on here, can't remember who though. Might actually have been in this thread. The animals were "stompin a hole" and causing a lot of muddy mess. I figured that I was losing feed to the mud so I had some concrete pation stones laying around the house and they have worked out great so far.

It's been quiet at the feeder for the last couple of days after Steph shot her hog Saturday morning.

But things have picked up again!! The coyotes and vultures have been cleaning up the gut pile and in the last two days we had 724 pictures. Most are of vultures, but there are a couple pictures of Big Boy and some coyotes.
This morning when the kids were leaving for school, they came in and told me there was a coyote out there. I went out the back door and shot it while they were watching. That was a thrill because of how exited there were. 200 yards, standing facing straight at me. Not much of a target, but enough.

Pretty sure that is the same groundhog that I have been dueling with for a couple of weeks. He is a smart one. From over 100 yards away he can tell if I walk by the big windows in the back of the house to go get the gun. He takes off or always stays just out of range for the .22.
