Gannon Box Blade 6 ft on CL

Are you sure that's a Gannon? It looks identical to a Frontier branded blade I saw.
edit: I see Jenkinsph's blade is labeled Frontier but looks identical to the CL ad blade from the OP. Are Frontier and Gannon the same blades?

Recently I think Frontier has switched suppliers for box blades. My box blade was made by Gannon and is a 2004 or 2005 model BB1284 which has the tailgate and weighs 1260 lbs. It has 8 ripper shanks.

Sorry, but your Modern Implements BB is not similar at all.

To the OP. These are not QH compatible. The top link pin is not forward far enough. The QH will impact the scarifier cylinder or it's fittings/hoses unless modified.

These BBs are a beast. Not familiar with your tractor??? I use a 7' on a 95HP, 10K lb tractor. It handles it well but can still be stalled if scarifiers are dropped into solid dirt.

The 2K price is fair. Not a steal, but not a ripoff either. You need to decide how much you will use it.

I appreciate your assessment before even seeing what I have but my box blade is 7 ft. and 1000 pounds, it is in fact an industrial box blade and looks almost identical aside from the third ear and the hydraulic scarifiers. Further more I don't believe I ever mentioned that the box blade was quick hitch compatible. I in fact pin mine directly. I will attach a rear picture that I happen to have on file without the scarifiers in place or the pins that I put on. And my NX 4510 handles it fine in low gear.

The Frontier's that look like Gannons are made by TuffLine and are QH compatible. However, the TuffLine/Frontier scarifiers are stamped, not forged.

The ones you are referring to are the newer model, notice the difference in the mast which are more rectangular in shape. The older Frontiers were Gannon built. Mine has forged ripper shanks and after 10 years are all straight and undamaged.

My ripper shanks bent on the first job. The rest of the scraper looks like a direct copy of Gannon.

Sorry, no putdown intended. It's hard to compare a fixed scarifier beam BB to a retractable scarifier BB in my opinion.

I never implied that yours was QH compatible. I was referring to the Gannon.

Any tractor that can lift the BB can pull it. But too small tractor can never fully use it.

Thanks for clarifying.

Gannon box blades are NOT quick hitch compatible.
Monroe/tuffline now makes the Frontier box blades.

Yes, the Gannon is quite a beast. I've got the 6-foot Gannon on my Kioti DK50SE, and it can stop my tractor dead in its tracks if I get too aggressive with it.

The above photo shows why these things are not QH compatible. The ears are not rotated forward enough, and the cylinder mounting ear would probably be in the way.

So I just got home a few hours ago, took me a good 2 hours to unload it off the tow dolly I was using.
The grill guard has already paid for itself. CLANG!! it bounced back against the guard. Whew! I was going as slow as I could too. That sucker i sheavy.

Not the best way to do it, but it worked.

Got a very good deal on it, the seller met me halfway in Belen, and for $1600, I am the owner of a very, very good condition Gannon 4x2 box scraper.

Pix will be following later tonite.
