Rotary Cutter Gear box

My shear bolt broke and I'm trying to replace it but cannot find the hole to line up. The picture shows where the PTO shaft and gearbox connect . That looks like a grease nipple on the PTO U-joint . If it is there's no way to get a grease gun on it with that cylinder in the way did something happen to my gearbox?

I believe I answered my own question. The PTO shaft had slid toward the gearbox. A couple nudges with a pry bar and I'm good to go.

I think maybe there is supposed to be another C clip or something on the right side to keep it from sliding that direction. Or, actually, I guess the C clip might be missing from the bearing cap on the left side (out of the picture) which would allow it to slide to the right.

Grease that shaft. When the shear pin goes you want it to spin freely and not destroy the shaft or yoke.
As I look at it, it appears it has not turned on that shaft at all. Did this just break or has it been running with only the rust lock making it not spin free.

Been broke for awhile...took me some time to need to fix it.
