My John Deere had to turn key to left for glow plugs, then right to start. No timer

My Kioti is auto timer with manual backup if you hold key just shy of starting. But these glow plugs heat up to like 800°c in 4 seconds so don’t overdo it.

On yours, I bet they screwed it up rewiring switches.

Don't have a TC30 but a TC34. There is a click to mine when glow plugs are active and have cycled. 1st indent on key turns on glow plugs for 4-5 seconds then a click, turn key to last position to engage starter then release key to spring back to run position, Believe there is another relay tied to glow plugs besides timer, at least on my model

Thank you, good to know from a similar machine. I looked at a TC30 wiring diagram and just see the timer and glow plugs. But mine could be different, I will check for another relay.

I’m thinking that as well, that something wasn't rewired right. Going to have to look behind the dash.
