Correctly fried small okra cut into 1/4" or so pieces, zero slime, I can't eat the slimy junk either. In soup it's like slippery yuck!yeah, i should have fried it, given it more flavor, pan cooking in a little butter, even with herbs, was a little boring.
Randy, you are really pushing it though when you try to peddle that okra. That slimey gook does nothing for me, and I've tried okra soup and
okra fritters. It was still slimey...sorry. If an eel became a vegetable, it would become an okra plant.
I think we've covered that adequately...
and you living on the Eastern shore sure know about Chesapeake eels.
