Costco was very crowded. Mask were not required. Plenty of toilet paper. Mask were required at the dentist until work started.

Our county had 400 new cases yesterday and today 335, heading in the right direction but Monday usually includes the weekend so need another few days to define the trend.

Got word that one of the water volleyball players from the farm died suddenly while in town, cause heart attack but autopsy revealed she also had covid and her husband is in the hospital with a bad case of covid. Vaccine status unknown.
Also another WVB player has covid also, unvaccinated but doing good.
One of the card players here fell down at the theater and got a 9" cut on her head, broken wrist and broken femur. She missed cards last night so I might have gained a position.
A step cousin died - born the same year as me, and one of my mom's neighbors died. A fire truck and Ambulance were two houses down this morning taking my neighbor to the hospital. It's not been a good week for some, except for the hospitals and morticians. Central Texas hospitals reported only 2 ICU rooms available before my neighbor was transported.
I can report no cavities from the dentist, but that seems kind of lame now.

EDIT: News just reported 1 ICU room available. Only 14% are due to Covid, the problem is staffing to open up more ICU rooms.

94˚F (HI101).

Drew, if you just want seat time, you can go and Bush hog for my dad on the L5030 open station. Course it’s in OH, the land is steep. But he has plenty of unairconditioned spare rooms to stay in.

Or, the flail on my open station LS XR4140H, also unairconditioned rooms, but really great views, even grander from tractor seat.

Don, Thank God for the good dentist report. The other news, not so much. Take care.

Huge storm on way home, heavy rain, lightning, wind. Nothing at home but a sprinkle.
Now I could enjoy mowing in Hawaii.

Work now says employees must be vaccinated to enter buildings, and will have to verify it. They didn’t say when it starts or how to verify. While I’m vaccinated, I don’t think it’s their business to know. I asked my boss if he has plenty of work we can do from home.
The also have strongly encouraged masks against, but not required if vaccinated. I am not wearing one, as I generally work alone, but most people are wearing them again.

txdon said, "Costco was very crowded. Mask were not required. Plenty of toilet paper. Mask were required at the dentist until work started."

I was in 2 Walmarts pretty early this morning. Masks not required, but I only saw one woman not wearing a mask. Yep, I've gone back to wearing mine, as nearly everyone in Walmart is doing so.

All 4 of my over grown tomato plants fell over in the wind today. Some limbs off dead ash trees down. Ground is damp, so it wasn’t that bad of a day at home. Very humid out there this evening.

Found replacement saddlebags to replace the one destroyed in the deer strike last week. Gave up on sorting out the non- charging dynamo off the BSA and shipping it to a specialist.

Everyone stay safe out there.

Got more computer programs loaded, especially one that lets me view my old DGN and DWG CAD files of my house and garage design. Also have lot drawn out. Could not find file for when I added the barn, but got paper copy of it. It might be on old desktop machine. I found files from when I taught a CAD course at the community college back in mid 90s. Put windows photo viewer on.. MS dropped it from win10 and have a new photo app, but I like the old one better. Just gotta add it to registry.
Sorted some of the files. Everything that wasn’t on my backup drive goes there first, then copied over.
Been keeping list of all software installs, and any codes needed to install. I had lots of SW that just won’t get loaded as I don’t use any more. I try lots of programs, and forget to remove. Still need to install scanner sw.
quicken, excel, and photos are my 3 main usages, my phone does about everything else.

Buckeye.. I just use paint.NET for photos. I have photoshop but Paint is so darn quick and easy I use it 99% of the time. Mainly for resizing. I only use Photoshop if I am cropping an object out of an image.

71° right now...hi in the upper 80's today...

Best night's sleep I've had this week (so far). Sunday and Monday I woke by midnight and tossed and turned until the alarm went off at 0315. Made for long days and difficulty in concentrating. Still woke early (0210), but feel more refreshed

First cup of coffee is cooling. 69° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 88° with afternoon thunderstorms. Yesterday was a conserve energy day. Today maybe the same.
Last years young goldfish are starting to change colors. No sightings of this years young ones.

Randy, that's about what I paid for 6 tires on my MH. Did it 3 times in 12 years.

Buckeye, good you are getting new computer set up with software.

Bird, I started wearing mask at stores last week.

Drew, if you get a motorhome you can stay at my place and run my B2910 cutting back field. Have to warn you it is very rough ground.

Thomas, hope you gout goes away quickly.

Don, good dentist report. Sad about friends and neighbors.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
.70 rain last night, watered all my veggies and flowers nicely, sure beat up the tomatoes but at least the
whole thing didn't topple over.

off to PT this morning and then will start process of looking at tractors.
Sent rv pics and info to three siblings and three friends yesterday and all 6 told me not to buy the rv, not to go out there by myself at my age
and health, and to do something more at home. Ok...Nothing I didn't already know but sometimes it helps being confirmed by others.
And I can admit my normal "I can do anything" approach is tempered a bit by almost dying last year. Rattles one's confidence...

going to be ghastly hot today, 95 and humid. Ugh.

"Thomas did you mean 9AM?"
Yes...and by the feel of the weather same today. :(

   / Good morning!!!! #136,920
Ron, I promise you if I find a lady friend to go traveling with me, I'll come visit in an rv.
Very nice of you to offer. And I sure was looking forward to passing through Texas...
