Ken, he needs to pay for the tickets for the next gen or grandchild, to accompany them.
Manage upwards...looks like you need eyes on the job. You don't want to restrict him but you don't want him to get
hurt, or lost. Though sometimes we all get lost. Thank goodness for gps.
Ten years ago my Mother's older brother, the last of his gen left, 92 and his 93 year old wife, drove to New Hope for a final "drive East" like they had for a long time.
David had encroaching Alzheimers and his wife had her own issues but she was clearly a successful navigator. I think they did it all with maps too.
And they knew, and talked about, the fact they were both losing it and had to help each other with driving. They got home just fine. Now all that's left is a memory of the last of that
family gen heading home to Minnesota. He was a hematologist working for the Navy. Dealing with cancer and service men. I wonder if he was spurred on by his younger brother Drew (yup)
dying of a brain wasting disease while serving as an oiler on a merchant marine in 1942. 80 years after my Uncle Drew died of some terrible disease they had no idea how to
deal with back then. And his older brother was a doc and couldn't save him. I think by the time he got there it was basically too late. Some bad amoeba...
Am seriously impressed with Westinghouse parts. Ordered new start/stop button switch for my generator and two days later it arrives by Fedex, for only 5 bucks shipping.
Wow, like the good old days.
