Yanmar1610D
I bought a Yanmar 1610d from Spaulding tractor in Griffin Ga. sight unseen based on commemts on previous threads. Steve delivered it to Greenville SC . He advertised it on Craigs List for a great price. Reconditioned in the US. with Koyker loader. Good guy to deal with. Thought I would pass it on.

Carey, We,re not too far apart. I live in Folly Beach, SC, but have a small cabin in Cedar Mtn. N.C. near Brevard. I retired last week and plan to spend a lot of time on my four acres and on my new toy.My wife is worried she will never see me again, but not to worry, she bought the yanmar for my Christmas present. Her emotional bank account is full.

I've been to Cedar Mtn. area before. I use to stay in Dillard/ Highlands yrs. ago. Had to go with a friend who owned a wrecker in Clayton. We had to drop off a car that broke down up at Sky Valley. Love that area reminds me of were I'm originally from WV.
Your going to appreciate the 4wd up there.;)
I just talked to Steve awhile back about the maint. coming up on the YM2500 thats when he told me he was going to start keeping more parts. Glad the the add in CL. SC. worked out for both of you;)

Whats your name, you may not want to say on here, you can send me a PM if you even want to respond. I lived at folly beach through my highschool years and spent many winters and springs and weeksends there before with my mom who has lived there (well across the river at little oak) on and off for must be close to 20 years. I went to JIHS. You may not know me but know my mom, and i know we know some of the same people and have surely passed each other on the road. Folly is not the same folly i remember from 20 years ago.

What are there ages, fist names? I graduated in 00 from JI. From Clemson in 04 and again in 06.

Im trying to think of anyone around my age that would have had 2 brothers? Nothing is coming to mind, but you are about 10 yrs my fathers senior, so my guess is your kids are older than I. I could be wrong though. Do you Know the Schultz on Folly Beach, they live on the river side of the island, im good friends with their son, and grandson. My great aunt and uncle have 2 beach houses that are across the street from the ocean and back up to east ashley about 1-2 blocks toward the washout from Berts. His name was Tom Salsberry or Big Tom, he was about 6'4" and played football for Clemson back in the 40's.

John graduated JIHS in 2001 and Clemson in 2005 , I think. Daniel two years behind. I don't know your friends, but there are a lot of people on Folly.

When i went there there were only a handfull of folks that lived on the island and went to JIHS. I thought it was just a chance you knew those people as both have lived on or had those houses for 40+ years. I know i have to know John? Just cant place him or a face, i saw him i know id know who he was.

Hey pesaventoc --

Greetings from the bottom of the mountain! We live not far from Little River down the road from Dupont State Forest. (Sky Valley is a road near the old Dupont plant, Careyo63.)

I am in the process of buying our first Yanmar. (The weather up here hasn't made hauling it up the mountain possisble yet.)

Are you going to be tractoring in Cedar Mountain or Folly Beach?

He Said he has a Cabin in Greenville Co. And thats where the yanmar was delivered. Also just from kind of Growing up at folly i would have to say Cedar Moutain. If you know folly i dont think anyone has more than an acre or 2 at the most on the whole island. Its a small island and land is at a premium.

Well you know the South, I didn't want to be presumptuous. (And I missed the delivery to Greenville.)

Cedar Mountain is pretty ... but you have to want to go there to have any reason to go there.
