Goodbye Kubota, Hello Power Trac

Glenn very good points you bring to the table. You stated the four in one is not useful to you---correct? So we could do this . I'll take the four in one and the freedom hitches off of Marks hands and you could buy the tractor off of Mark and then everyone would be happy. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I wonder if you will get as many offers on a Power Trac when you decide that you want to upgrade it?/w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Gordon, I also wouldn't want the canopy and all the gauges, or the backhoe.

Actually, I cant remember all the customizations. I could never read that whole thread. It seemed to grow faster than I could keep up with it. It is the kudzu thread.

I might be interested in a bucketless tractor with the tires, seat and hydraulics.

We could have a let's-disassemble-Mark's-tractor party. Take the whole thing apart. Then if we dont like what we see, we go home.

Glenn - It's beginning to sound like an autopsy...

Ron - Getting "as many offers" on a Power Trac as I've had on my Kubota is a cinch - so far I haven't had any on the Kubota, except Gordon and Glenn's scheme to disassemble it. Actually, there's a guy who lives 5 minutes from me that wants the whole works. He's the caretaker of a large plantation estate and, if he can talk the owner of it into the deal, he's going to buy everything but the tiller, which isn't for sale. For that matter, I wasn't intending to sell the blade and boxscraper, but he thinks he can swing the deal a lot easier if it includes everything he needs, so I'm flexible if that's what it takes to make it happen.

Glenn I've read your post four times now and busted out laughing each time. Can't you just picture it, all of us pulling up to Marks house in our trucks. I'd have a trailer as well just in case. Roll off my tool chest and begin to dismantle his tractor. I want this piece, no I want it, shoot don't know what that piece is but is sure looks impressive as hell, I want it too. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Naw heck with it you keep it/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

On the serious side. Guess I could use the canopy as well. Sure you don't want that backhoe? Sure could get your property to drain well.

Just funnin Mark/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Gordon,

I heard that that guy who lives next to Mark logged on to TBN today and got convinced to buy a Power Trac instead of Mark's rig.

Well, I would like a backhoe but I cant afford a Bradco 609 if I upgrade my tractor and all my mowers in size. Plus, I really dont need a hoe that big.

Spent 4 days brush hogging. Got within 30 feet of my new bridge (which I have yet to post on), and guess what happened to my tractor ... again. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif/w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif/w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

I need a 5n1 bucket. They have a harpoon crossbow mounted on the side with 1000 yards of cable, so you can fire at a tree or garage wall and pull yourself home.

Glenn - That wouldn't have happened if you had my tractor. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Mark, but I dont know that. If I could only be sure ...

Since you heretofore have made every detail of your tractor public domain knowledge, please tell us ... don't keep us in suspense ... how much are you asking for the tractor?

Sounds like you have a similar situation to mine, only worse. After blazing that road for my tractor last year and installing 3 culverts, I was unable to get past the first one during the wet season, due to soggy ground.

I have just begun to dig out the muddy stretch (dry at the moment), but haven't been able to locate a good source/price for the road fabric. The irony hasn't struck my wife yet -- although she knows I'm out there working hard with my tractor, she doesn't realize that without the tractor I wouldn't need the road, the culverts, the road fabric, the loads of crush, etc. It's only a matter of time... /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Just to keep this on topic --

Mark, I would like very much to buy your rig in its entirety. I could use every bit of it. I will make you a fair price if you will accept $25/month until paid in full. Also, is your offer to deliver it yourself still open? I figure the round trip shouldn't be much over 6,000 miles. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Glenn - I'm asking $45k for the works. I've got a little over $60k in it, not counting any of my time, of course.
