The Dealer could take it back and sell it for cost , since you've bought
enough off him , and no doubt more to come in the future. Let's see
if he's figured that one out ............
You might consider the industrial tire option , since they're not
too bad on turf.
The BX lower hitch arms only drop to 16" , so connecting to
imps can be a pain ............

Yep - he commented yesterday that he would have to sell it used. I suggested he could sell my GR2110 at cost and take his profit (margin) from the BX2660. Also suggested, if I opt for the BX, other accessories (e.g., FEL, rake, rotary cutter, rear blade, tiller) might be added - to sweeten his pot. He's supposed to call Kubota today and see what they can do - telling them of dissatisfaction with the GR2110 and that I'm looking to upgrade my purchase.

Thought about going with the industrial tire. Just not sure whether I really would need them - might be better in woods, though.

With the quick hitch option, don't think I would have a problem with attaching implements.

One step at a time. But, if you do settle on a BX, the R4 provide a tougher tire, imo. Less puncture prone. Stiffer as well with the FEL. Traction over the turf is not life changing in difference. The BX's steering geometry doesn't seem to tear up grass with the R4s, if that is any concern.

What dealer to you purchase from? I am located in AL and I owned a GR2100 at one point. I purchased it from Cahaba tractor in Pelham. I had a lot of trouble and they worked with me to get kubota to buy it back. I had the machine for about a year and I got nearly 90% of my money toward the purchase of a BX2660. The BX2660 is much, much better than the GR. The only thing I miss from the GR is the turning radius. I am very happy with the BX. I will never go back to a garden tractor again. The BX is a great compliment to my L3130. Also, If you bite the bullet get the loader you won't regret it.

I agree that R4's would be a must if you plan on using it in the woods. Really R1's would be better but you can get by with R4's and will be good for the lawn work also. I would definitively skip the turfs.

Seems like this little tractor is a lemon. My uncle had his issues but man, it seems like no one really likes it 100%.

You would think Kubota would stop production and redesign it to get it right.

I would hope so. This thing kicks $ss based on the specs and design. I think they have a really cool model here... they just need to get it right!

Well rotary mower decks are a relatively new invention and there is a learning curve...:confused2:

I can't understand what the problem could be here; they have other mowers that work great, just stamp the SAME working deck from a BX out of lighter stock and go!

A situation like this would break my heart; the mower would probably end up with a bullet hole through it:mad: If I was a dealer I would refuse to sell that model.

My sentiments exactly on the mower deck. Stated the same to the dealer this afternoon in his showroom. Don't even think it would have to be of lighter steel - the GR2110 should have sufficient power to handle a BX style deck.

The decks are quite different. The one on the BX is deeper, uncluttered with circular dividers and is raised upfront forming a wind-tunnel like exit for all three blades. The BX deck really throws out the clippings - far more effectively than what one sees with the GR2110.
