Well.. I've been waiting for a break in the rain to put some more grass seed down in my pasture. I did about an acer of it by hand last time I mowed. Basically threw a bag of seed on the 10' mower and a hand spreader and bunjied it down and hand spread it after I had driven out to the pasture and mowed that day. It's been raining every day since. i noticed it letting up lunch so went by the feed co-op and picked up 250# of pensacola and went home about 3pm. Got the 8n loaded on the trailer and threw a can of gas up there and the seed bags.

Wife went out with me to the pasture since she has been out of the country for 23 days. We took one of our dogs.. the jack russle with us. She walked the dog around the property while I unloaded and put out about 8.5 to 9ac of seed. After seeding I was headed back tot he trailer and actually ran out of gas 50' from the trailer! argh Walked and got the gas can and realized I had no funnel. Found an empty plastic water bottle in the ditch and cut the bottom out of it. Made a great disposable funnel.

got the tractor loaded and went home.. just unloaded and fed the chickens and horses, and sat down to read some mail. Wifes got some chicken cooking.. so i better go wash up!

Been watching the Weather Channel quite a bit here lately. Hope you didn't get bombed too bad from Dennis.

We are still bone dry here in Ohio. I think it's so dry the grass will burn if you drop a match, and we are all praying for that wet stuff to come this way for a couple of days.

It's supposed to blow in about Tuesday late...... So we'll see.

The grass seed should sure come up. We have been dry too Pineridge. Most small towns near us have burn bans. Just watched the weather and Dennis missed us. I am glad we did not get the wind, but we sure could use the rain. Corn is tassling out and shooting ears. Second crop hay is short and when we do get rain, we will need to seed some of our pasture again.

We have a road here that runs along a ridge .
Both the road and the ridge are called Pine Ridge.
