Has anyone converted a full size backhoe to a quick attach bucket?

The rear tires are loaded with rimguard, and it has about a 1500 lb counterweight/ three point hitch attachment. It does okay as a loader, not so good as a forklift. But for guy that already has it all, I say go for it!

I didn’t know the 210 had a 3 point hitch until now. How does it do as a tractor? Is it a shuttle shift? The transmission on my 310 is really nice for direction changing but it doesn’t seem very efficient. I expected the machine to road better than it does. Mine is turbocharged and nearing 100 hp but it’s a real snail even on light hills. My SS isn’t a good forklift either. It’s plenty strong and visibility is good but the tracks are too rough. It shakes pallets apart. Going sideways is even worse.

I don't really have any tractor type uses, I just use it as a loader, and a back blade for spreading gravel. I love the torque converter and reverser transmission, but could see that it might get old trying to plow a field with it.

I also love the transmission. Since the backhoe on mine isn’t removable plowing a field isn’t very likely.

I started a QA for the loader on my 580B, but it's stalled out lately due to higher priorities - I went with a beefier version of some I saw on Kubotas, most of the parts are 1/2" and 3/4" steel - upper pins will fit into deep "U" brackets, then the 2 lower pins will lock it into the uppers - I built a jig (all 3/4x3 FB) to press 1/2x3 FB into the U brackets, then future implements will just be Case compatible 2-pin mount. If I'm just moving attachments around, no need to use lower pins at all, just "hook-n-go" -

The long radius in the plates is just to clear the curved back of the original 1 yd bucket; other implements (grapple, forks, brush forks, 3ph quick hitch, etc) may not need that. The "U" brackets are only needed on the main loader mounts, any attachments would just be 1-1/2" pins spaced same as original.

Here's a few pics, any questions feel free to ask... Steve

IIRC, JD hoes use a single curl cylinder - but hopefully some of this might work for you... Steve

Oh, here's Case's version - I didn't like the idea of having to build those hooks for every single attachment, so I went with the heavier version of the Kubota

BTW, those pieces are still sitting around waiting for me, hopefully sometime in the next year

Funny how the drama of everyday life keeps these kinda things on the back burner....You spent a lot of time on it and so far, fantastic job.

I Skid steer implements are easier to come by. For that reason I may go SSQA.

I agree. I have more than a couple SSQA attachments around. By no means am I happy with the fact, but that’s just the way it is.....

These three loaders all have QA and each has at least two buckets and fork attachments.

Just sold this Toolcat with manual SSQA.

Bought it for a backup machine. I should have done better research as it was totally inadequate for our uses. The girls (and guys) on the farm hated it.
