Invoice came in the mail yesterday from the dealer for $274 for widening the rear wheels. Doesn't have a breakdown of hours. Doesn't say anything about the PTO that was fixed under warranty or the cutter repair.

That's worth a phone call to the sells department. That should be pdi stuff.

Couple of ways to look at this. The amount doesn't sound bad given all the damage that was repaired which JD apparently covered. On the other hand, it sounds like a rip off if moving wheels out wide was part of original sales agreement. If it were me, I'd talk to the dealer about going no more than half on the charges based on original agreement. Just my $0.02.

with nothing being on the invoice for the pto and cutter I would think they want you to pay this invoice first and then they will bill you for the other work performed
plus this will show that there were never any problems with the other 2 problems that you have
I wouldn't pay anything until the invoice has all work performed listed with total amount due for all work done
that's my .02

My thoughts exactly. Couldn't find a due date on it so I'm going to let it simmer.

Letting it simmer can't help and might hinder your credit rating, at least at that store. They aren't mind readers, and you shouldn't have to be, either. Get on the phone and get the information you want.

Don't you have a son or a neighbor that could have helped you reverse the tires. Why would you pay that

the fact is he asked to have that done before delivery and now they want him to pay for it
I would ask for an itemized invoice on what was done and what you are paying for (all repairs)
never know what might come up later

I don't think letting it sit for a few days will matter. There's not a date due on it. It just came in the mail Saturday and today is Monday. I don't want to seem too anxious - that seems like the right play.

I looked again and at the top it says "proforma invoice". I'd take that to mean its not the final invoice. But it also has a handwritten note that says "you can pay directly from this invoice". And it's signed by one of the service reps.
