Thanks, you all have very valid points. I was also not thinking about the additional weight of loaded tires. The dealer can order a #9900 18' or 20' treated deck car hauler for me (3 Wks.), I guess it is better to wait and get the best fit. I still would like to not to go over 18' due to tight work sites and narrow city streets. Do you think with 18' I will get good weight distribution? Having the tractor backed on might be best?
With the car hauler having no side rails (only front) it would also work better for side loading building materials.
I think a 20' would be a smarter choice for distribution... but a 18' would probably work... As for the 2 extra feet I don't think that'll make a huge difference handling / backing it in... If things are really tight, then get a ball mount for your bucket or hoe and unload in the street and use the tractor to back the trailer in....
Good luck
