help needed

hi all been trying to plant millet but i hit a prob the grass is that thick my plough wont cut it i cant burn it an spraying is out i have tryed a mullboard plough an disk a single ripper just balls up with grass i have just ran out of ideas

A moldboard plow if properly sharpened on the point and set correctly will turn the heaviest of sod. Check the linkage on the 3rd arm and maybe sharpen the point a little and try it again. The old Pan plows (dont know the proper name for them) that used 30" or so diameter discs also always worked good. Any tractor of 20 HP should be able to pull 2 of those if you can find them.

not real keen on the pan plow as we have a lot of truble with the ground paning thats y i can use the hoe was starting to think of black plastic but i cant get it in 10ac lots lol

Sure sounds like the plow isn't sharp or more likely set up properly. If I don't have the coulter set right on my Brinley, I have all kinds of problems.

can you hire some one with some heaver better equipment to turn the soil/sod

need some more details about the plow.

a turn plow is by far the best option for small HP tractor applications when it comes to tearing up virgin sod.

its a ford 2 forrow mullboard plough see the grass i blocking up as it get to the 2an forrow an it wont let it pass though been thinking letting it go to hay cut it as short as i can then ripping it
