Symptom: I have a new Linksys 8 port router.
Upshot, I can see other pc's, I can get onto internet, HOWEVER, when I log into a "HttpS" sight (with the S on the end) I get "page cannot be displayed" error. If the site does NOT have the S on the end, I can access it easily. Since (for work) most of the sites I access have the S on the end, this is presenting me with a problem /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
This was working fine BEFORE the swap from 4 port router to 8 port router (both Linksys)
Other pc's in office CAN log into httpS sites, so I'm fearing it's something buggered on mine.
I went to install Netscape, to see if maybe I had a virus (norton DID find/kill one) and when I try to log onto internet now, using Netscape, I get another error "the connection was refused when attempting to contact (homepage)"
Any ideas???
I ran norton, it found 1 virus and because of time (and how long it was taking) I had to finally quit. It was in process of checking my (physical) D drive when I stopped it, so I presumed it was done with C.
???

thanks for any thoughts
