I live at 7300’ wyoming
Looking for the following

Cab
4x4
Power shuttle
40-70hp
Snow plowing
Dirt leveling
Fencing
Auger
Compost piles
Hay round bales
Dragging
Raking
Small acreage
30acres
Looking new and used
Budget under $40k
I’ve been looking at TYM
But I’ve been told not good at my elevation.
Some models have turbos
MAHINDRA bobcat dealers real close
all other dealers 3 hours away
Not sure I will spend 100 hours per year in the tractor
So I’ve been eyeballing low hour used ones on tractor house.
Any input would be good
Especially concerning my elevation and makes models to avoid or HP I should be considering.

I found a 2015 Branson 6530 with less than 150 hours at a great price with most of the implements I want.
Cummins engine
Cummins B3.3
diesel
4-cylinder
liquid-cooled
Displacement198.9 ci
3.3 L
Bore/Stroke3.74x4.52 inches

Power (gross)65 hp
48.5 kW
Air cleanerdry element
Pre-heatingblock heater (optional)

Rated RPM2600

Not sure if this engine will be good. For my elevation. And my tasks,
Thank you in advance.

Not familiar with Branson or high elevation but at 65HP if it acts like 50HP you should be all right.

Ok
That’s what I was thinking if I had a NA 65hp might be good at my elevation
Unless I get a 50hp turbo to help compensate
Another question would be DPF filters clogging easier at elevation? Is that a consideration?

the PTO hp rating should be higher than 40hp if engine is rated 65hp?
btw welcome to this forum, regards

If it were me, I would definitely be looking at tractors with a turbo. At high altitude, you have less air to compress for ignition. Getting a bigger tractor does not fix that problem. You want the engine to run good and clean so you need a turbo to help with that.

I run turbo snowmobiles for a reason
I was thinking the same thing for a tractor would be smart at my altitude. With that said what HP range should I concentrate looking for 40hp-60hp turbo ? I know nothing of tractors I know what I will be doing and what I want to do is all
Like I first mentioned.
Thanks for all responses
