Re: House - First Floor Walls, Rear

Looking good. And the weather is supposed to break next week. Just in time. Should see lots of progress quickly. Keep the pics coming.

I do have a sailboat in mind, but nothing that would ever fit in a garage /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

That sure will be welcome. I was out there this morning since I had the day off (see the garage door thread) /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif Delivered donuts to the crew and pulled the plumber out of the mud. He was putting the rough-ins in the basement. Not sure why this early, but progress is progress, right? They're pretty well done with the first floor so I expect the second floor joists to go in next week. It's just sooooo muddy. I've got a pair of knee high "slosh boots" and in some places the ooze came nearly to the top of them. Fortunately, with some decent weather most of it will dry out pretty quickly.

Sure is exciting for us /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Re: House - First Floor Walls, Rear

Rob, Things look great. Just met with the bank yesterday, and now I have to wait for the apraiser to review my plans and materials to make sure the price we are paying is what the house is worth.

To that end I supplied so much detail (my spec list for the builder) to the bank tha covered all the upgrades I put in, the alarm system, flooring, appliances etc. So they in a week or so we will have it all done.

I have the final plans and I had the small images scanned in, but the front picture is 167k and I can't go above 150k here. Mohammed can you raise the limit just a bit?

Hardly an expert here, but I've been using the software that came with my camera to shrink pictures to fit the restrictions. Seems to work ok. I know there are people out here that can help if you need, I'd like to see your plans /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

If you want to send it to me I will shrink it and post it.

Re: House - First Floor Walls, Rear

Rob what about going to your local city dump and getting mulch to add into the mud. Our city dump will give you all the fresh mulch you would ever want, they'll even load it too.

Re: House - First Floor Walls, Rear

Rob, I've thought about mulch, straw, all sorts of things but our GC assures us that we just want to wait. Once the last of the mixers have been in and out we'll get serious about a real driveway. I talked to a couple of the framers yesterday and they don't mind as much as I would have thought. I guess they're used to it /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
