I bought a Farmi winch last year and love it. If your forest is dense I would highly recommend the self releasing snatch block. You can pull around corners that way.

I know it would be good here as I can pick and choose from trails or the bush roads which ones to take. Their not cheap. I think all the models are good from what I read here. Can't really go wrong.

I have it in a plastic "box" about 400x300x300mm with bar off and put inside the box with spares, oils, new chain, sharpener etc.

Spare fuel can be a problem so need to look at what you do.

How am I going to lose an ear?
The chain is a good distance away and I don't dance in the seat while driving ever.
I could also be wearing hearing Protection.

I carry one on each fork and the axe goes behind the seat of the M7040 Kubota. I know there is a better way but I have not devised it yet.

My John Deere 5000's series came with a saw holder from the factory
