How do you store you logging/tow chain?

Just cut a hole in a gallon oil jug in front of the cap area. Leave cap on for strength. Feed chain in. Hooks on edge of hole. Handle for toting. You can tie it to something. If it gets left in rain, holes in bottom.

I used a length of ductwork and plugged one end with a piece of circular wood. I then used a duct cap on the other end again using a circular piece of wood so I could screw into. Put on a fold down handle. Cutout the desired size I wanted, and wrapped lots of places with Duct tape or gorilla tape. Works for me. I got the idea from someone else on this forum so can't take the credit for the idea.

Not long after I bought my tractor I had my welder put expanded metal on my brush guard. A couple a years ago I had him make me chain hangers for my brush guard. I can hang 3 chains on it.

I carry 3 10 foot chains with me. One 1/4" under my clutch and two 5/16" on my chain hangers. I also carry a 1/4" binder on the back of my tractor.

I have 5 5/16" hooks on my FEL bucket and one on my backhoe bucket.

I was going to use the FEL tube, but I keep a rake and a shovel in there.

Sorry no pictures, I don't know how to post them.

Start with the paper clip icon at the bottom of your post. TBN made it much more intuitive recently than it used to be. Back then, it was trial and error each time for me.

Our B2320 has similar holes in the loader mounts but I wasn't sure how to get mine mounted without having to take the loader off to get access, and that sure seems like a lot of trouble for the outcome, so I have to ask, was that how you got the bolt into yours?
Or was there some other method you used??

Thanks,
Thomas

Thomas,

The hole(s) in my support arms of the FEL of my BX25 were already there, and very easy to get at. I did not have to remove anything. In the pictures I attached, I tried to show how I attached the PVC pipe. There was only one hole on each side. If you can't make out how I attached mine, send a reply and I will post a more detailed picture or pictures of what I did.

Except for two 20' gr120 9/32", all my chains are 10' long with a slip hook on one end and a grab on the other. I have a friend that live two miles away and he is my tractor mechanic, welder and fabricator. He's made me many things already over the years.

I keep a 1/4" 10' gr70 under my clutch year around. In the warmer months I add two 5/16" 10' gr70 and hang them on my brush guard.

I keep two wrapped around the bumper on my B7100DT. I've since added weights and another chain to the front bumper.

It's easier to add items for storage if you don't have a cab.

I really like the hangers on your grill guard. I may fab a set like yours! I don't put anything metal on the floor, especially near the cab glass...
