How to add hydraulics to a BX

I have a friend who inherited a BX2200 that came only with a mid-mount mower (i.e. no loader, so no joystick). He has an employee who has a BX front blade and quick hitch he's willing to sell inexpensively... can anyone tell me what's necessary to add a valve block to this tractor? Would the blade take the 3-way or 4-way valve? (I assume it'd be better to get the 4-way if the price is close).

Also, he couldn't find a hydraulic pump. I assume the front-end hydraulics are run off the hydro transmission?

I would start with Kubota dealers and see if they can still procure the OEM valve as that would be the best solution depending on price. Here are some part numbers I had in an older wholegoods catalog. I don't know if the BX2200 took either of these loaders. Prices are old.

If the blade has 2 SA (single acting) cylinders, then you MUST have the 4-way valve. Price to do it with aftermarket parts will be about $350- $400, that will include the valve, hoses, QD's and fittings. The mount for the valve would need to be fabricated.

If it's the factory blade, it should have a single, double acting cylinder.

Just looked at the wholegoods list......... 4 way valve kit is approx. $640.00 which I'd assume would include the valve mount since the kit is required for the front plow or snowblower.
