How well do shelter logic hold up in heavy snow areas?

I also hard sided the front, didn't like the zipper door and made wood doors for the front.
Any pics you can share on the hard sided front? Want to add to my snow/wind load rated shelterlogic (the big one).

I'am setting up a 12x20 round top shelter logic and had planned to set cinder blocks in the ground under each footing and use the screw in ground anchors on the ends. After reading your post I'm having second thoughts.

What type concrete blocks did you use.
sand or stone around outside skirt i found works best. Mount the bottom to 2 x 6 then put inside and out. If any amount or shall I say large amount of wind gets under neath you will find it in the neighbors field! Not a fan of the screw in anchors, i didn't have any luck.

I put a floor in my Jeep garage-in-a-box. It is 4x4's lengthwise where the wheel tracks are and 2x8's crossways with 1/2" to 3/4" gap in between for snow and slop to fall off. The 4x4s are pressure treated. This was after putting it up twice.
The SL for the tractor is sitting on the ground with Railway ties for anchors. At the four corners are 4x4's driven into the ground 6' and it is anchored to the corners. It is protected from the wind by the house on the south side and from the north wind by the bush.

I bought a round top Shelter Logic 12' W x 12' H x 28' L building. I put it behind my existing shed, they're the same aprox. length, sheltered by the shed from the wind and by trees, to keep the sun off the cover. I threw down stone for the 'floor' surface area, and built connected 4 x 4" PT as a base for the feet to be lagged into. I drove rebar through the 4 x 4's to keep them from moving and secured everything with the cables and ratchet straps. I also used plastic coated aircraft cable at both ends at the very bottom of the outermost tubing sections to keep the 'mouth' from being able to open beyond specs.
I've had this SL in place here in VT with ridiculous amounts of snow, wind, ice, rain etc, and never once given a thought to clearing the snow or ice from the top or sides.
I use zipper lube from West Marine to lube the zippers to make them function. They are, IMHO the weakest part of the entire setup. This last winter the zippered door on one end did break the zippers. I bought a kit that allows for zipper replacement, IN PLACE, but have not installed them yet.

I would not buy anything but a round top unit in any northern clime that experiences large amounts of snow. I've had this unit up for at least 6 years, no problems other than noted.
Take time, do it once, level, square, plumb, and as protected from exposure to high winds and sun, if at all possible.

Here they are...You can see the addition I added at the back of it. I have a wood stove in the addition, this is my second tarp in 5 years, I also added the second frame of the new one inside "doubling" it's strength. The frame is now 2 feet apart as opposed to 4 originally.

This is the one that I use....20 X 12 X 10.....it has a steeper pitch roof...snow does not accumulate but simply slides off....I also have the round top 24 X 12 X 10 however it does have a tendency to accumulate snow on top under certain conditions such as wet snow etc....
