Tractor
Kubota L4740 sold. As of Jan 2023 I have a new L2502.
Human are prone to making mistakes. When we make them we feel stupid and angry at ourselves for making them. To help others ease the pain of their mistakes, lets list our mistakes showing that we are all human and we all make mistakes. Perhaps even give some insight into a healthy thought process to go on with life.

Ok me first. Yesterday I backed a logging trailer that needed repair inside a garage. Out the back window of my tractor I yelled to the guy that was unhooking the trailer, "cannot get easier then that". Keeping an eye on the guy and the trailer I pulled away slowly but didn't notice the door was opened. It hooked the garage door post and broke my door. I will not be able to get a door for more then a week. It is -35c degrees here today and going to snow tomorrow so I will have to spend 6 hours blowing snow with a piece of plastic as a door.

I was beating myself as I told my sister and she said, "you were looking after what had to be looked after which is making sure nobody got hurt". Perhaps if you were watching for your door something worse could of happened like somebody getting hurt. We never know those things.

I thought I made a mistake once but I was mistaken. lol
I never make mistakes. Just wish I could figure out who put oil in the gas tank and gas in the oil tank on my chainsaw.

When you find him let me know, cause the same guy once did that to my saw too!

It was either your kids, or your cat. Dog's too smart to do that, and your wife probably doesn't mess with your chainsaw.

Lol. problem is the kids must be sneaking in. The kids live in Wichita, KS. Don't have pets. Probably some prowler. There is a stray cat wandering around though.

I did it. Did once to each of mine.

Not so long ago, I changed the oil on the tractor and forgot to make sure the rubber gasket was still on the drain plug when re-installed.

Found the gasket when I was draining the old oil into the used containers to take to the store for disposal.

Doh!

I live by two rules; Rule #1: I NEVER make mistakes, Rule #2: IF you think I made a mistake, refer to rule #1

How many times while draining the hot oil from a vehicle have you dropped the drain plug into the "soup"?

How many times while doing this same task has the hot oil run all the way up your arm?

Have you ever started to refilled the oil and THEN noticed the drain plug still sitting there, all by itself?

Ok I'll join in. I made the mistake last spring of lifting a boulder that was probably above the tractor's capabilities in order to move it off a trail on some land I owned. As I drove forward to move it off the trail, the front left tire ran up a bank and the tractor rolled on its side. I didn't react fast enough to drop the bucket, which may have stopped the roll. Thankfully it all happened very slowly and I had time to hop off and out of the way. ROPS do work.
