Re: Hydraulic Tip \'N Tilt

Harv,
Gold Country Kubota(Auburn, Ca) put together a nice setup for the rental shop down the street from me. They have two B2710's. They did it for another rental shop a few miles further down the road. They have a 2710, and a couple b1700's(7100?).

I like what they did; I just want to do it myself, and save a buck or two(ya right!).

Re: Hydraulic Tip \'N Tilt

Bird, Ron, and others have mentioned concern for running the hoses to the T&T hydraulics when using the FEL power beyond valve. I've taken a few photos showing the hose routing on my B2910. Bottom line, there is no problem at all as you'll see in these photos. As I have not yet figured out how to post multiple pictures in one message short of creating a multi-photo file (which I don't know how to do either), I'll post several messages with the text for the specific photo.

This photo shows the valve with the two supply hoses running alongside the fender behind the seat. The seat is flipped forward in this photo. You can also see how the hoses to the rear cylinders are routed. You can also get a good look a the simple mounting bracket for the valve attached to the ROPS with large U-bolts.

Re: Hydraulic Tip \'N Tilt

Here you can see under the tractor with the two supply hoses from the T&T valve coming down from the valve and heading forward. In the photo you'll notice the hoses are routed inside the frame but that is not necessary and I'm going to bring them outside. There is a lip inside the frame where you see the three bolts that made a nice support for the hoses and the dealer took advantage of that. However I'd rather have all the hoses bundled together. This is much more clear in the next photo.

Re: Hydraulic Tip \'N Tilt

This photo shows the lip more clearly and the point where the hoses turn upward. I do a lot of brush clearing and would rather have the hoses bundled tightly to avoid snags.

This photo shows the FEL valve and the connection to the power beyond port. The four prominent connections are the quick disconnect connectors for the FEL, between them is the power beyond port and the right angle connector for the T&T valve.

And finally, another photo of the T&T valve. Again, these are Dinoil valves made in Italy I think. They are supplied by Gearmore to my dealer.

Thanks for posting the pictures. That helps. Also good to see you cleaned it up. Still wet underneath in pix.

Can see just enough of your box blade to be curious. Looks pretty good. What brand name and how do you like it. I am looking to replace mine. Maybe a better pix of it in another thread or email me one sometime. thanks

Re: Hydraulic Tip \'N Tilt

McCallum,
I am also looking at changing box blades. The best ones that have saw have been Bush Hog brand BX and MBX models. One thing that really sets these apart from most is that they have double or triple lugs for the lower lift arms. The rippers are also mounted better.
I have one now that has the standard pins on the lower arms and have bent them so bad that I can barely put the box on.

Re: Hydraulic Tip \'N Tilt

LarryT, thanks a lot. You're a pretty darned good photographer. I think I've got the whole picture now. I had to go to town today (something I don't do if I can help it), and stopped at yet another dealer, and darned if he didn't have a Tisco catalog that has all the components I need, except the hoses that I can have made anywhere. It would be a little cheaper (and maybe less work) to plumb it just like yours, but I want to give that optional rear outlet a try, and then if it doesn't work, I'll plumb it like yours.

McCallum, when you're looking at box blades, look at the Monroe Tufline. I like them better than anything else I've seen; tough like their name.
