Hydro vs gears for durabilty

I agree on the .380. I carry a Bersa Firestorm with a crossbreed holster, and most of the time, you would never know I have it. I highly recommend the crossbreed holster. I have many holsters, and this is by far the most comfortable and concealable holster I have!! When I want some more firepower, I opt for the Springfield XD 40 in the shoulder holster. Makes it a little harder to conceal. Great for colder weather, though. The only bad thing about the .380? Can not find any ammo for it, at least around here. Oh, and I like the Hydro better myself!

I have a friend with the bersa thunder.

have you been able to find spare mags for the firestorm?

Not locally. I can order them, but I like to go to a gun shop and buy what I need. That is, if they have it.

same here.. I like to see it fit.

I was at a gun show and a seller tried to tell me the thunder and firestorm took the same mag. a dealer at another table had both guns. their mags DID NOT interchange...

I got a thunder .45. I absolutely LOVE it...silky smooth trigger and the smallest 45 you've ever seen.

how well does it stay in the hand. I've shot small or light .45 acp's and they were hard to hold on to.

it does real good, the bottom of the mag has a nice lip to it, and the trigger guard has nice "traction". Not a beast to shoot by any means...

Of course not. It's now evolved into a gun thread.
