I hate thieves!!!

I agree the justice system is not correct. Most walk with a slap at most for violent crimes! I hate when the violator says they are a victim of society. No excuse for any violent and/or premeditated actions. Afterall they have "some" cognitive thought process performing the crime.

If we treated criminals as criminals and made them work hard for room and board while in prison. There would be more cognitive thoughts flowing before they would violate again!

Also, be careful if you catch a thief in action, I had a roommate in college who caught a thief inside his car, stealing his stereo equipment. He clocked the thief with a baseball bat, tied him up until the cops came. The thief got off with a misdemeanor and a bloody nose - my roommate went to jail for many months.

think about what you just posted, it is the dems to blame, who appointed liberal judges to the benches and passed laws protecting the law breakers?, yes, it is a political thing

If you have electricity, video surveillance is the way to go. That way if/when they get caught, there shouldn't be any reason for them not to convicted.

I have a pretty hard core attitude about drug dealers and users.
Any dealer caught a proven guilty would die. There is no age limit on this stipulation. Ya ya the bleeding hearts would have a cow. But I'm pretty sure that after a year or two of putting a 1000 or so of these people in the ground things would start to change.

Buy a game camera..
The kind that takes motion sensor pictures.
They can be put almost anywhere...

A friend did this and caught the guy that was being mischievous..

Maybe worth the $60- $200 .....

You guys gotta think about thieves as tractor time, I had a neighbor drug addict log part of my property , filed charges he claimed bankruptcy lost his house , I got nothing but a bill from my lawyer . He went a way for armed robery got out in a year came back and vandelized my storage shed a month ago. This time the local cops looked at my tractor and said " You see him shoot him, dig a deep hole with your hoe and plant a garden."

How true!! I work for Illinois Dept. of Corrections. We have always had our share of thieves but business is definitely better than ever. We have so many coming into the system over the last couple of years that we have a good percentage of the population called "61 day wonders". There are so many offenders, the system is overwhelmed and judges are all but forced to give 364 day sentences. With Illinois law, this allows an inmate to receive so much credit for good time, time served in County awaiting trial and day for day that they are only held in IDOC custody for 61 days. We see the same people over and over more than ever. Often times when they come into receiving off the transfer bus we know their name before we even look at their paperwork or ID's. Not only are they the cream-of-the-$hitbag-crop but they are smart$ss 8itches that know that almost regardless of what they do or how they act while doing their bit, they'll be back on the street in 2 months and can do 61 days standing on their head. It's pretty sickening. We also get the guys that plea out and are processed so quick, they are still going through withdrawal and strung out when we get them, which is something I never saw until the last year or so.

On the bright side, I once had a guy that had stolen my sons four wheeler and got away with it but got convicted on a drug charge and was assigned to my housing unit. AHHH, now THAT was some sweet justice! I'll never forget that brief initial look on his face when I "introduced myself".

if i ran the government there would be no laws against detaining, attacking, shooting or killing a theif if caught in the act. Anyone who shot a theif who was a druggie would get a reward for it. We dont pay $4 a gallon for gas and diesal to have it stolen. Gas theives would have to watch their house and car doused in their stolen gas and lit up. There would be more guns among more people and they would be used more. It sounds extreme and it is, but this has to stop. Nobody can do anything about theives and such now, so just lock up.

Gas theives=take 2 5gallon cans. Fill each with 4 gallons of water and 1 gas, then top off with shavings from the bench grinder. Mix up and leave outside in the bed of a truck. Or fil cars tank with diesal.

But i dont run the government so we can only replace what we lost and not do anything that would stop these problems.

Place 4-5 huge doggy food dishes on porch and spill some chicken or beef juice around them. Put some NRA, guns and ammo, and other magizines around on a table on your porch with some size 12-16 mens boots next to them. Leave the following note:

Ran to town for gas and beer. Took the 306 and 357 in to be cleaned and get some more ammo for them. Dogs chewed up another cat this morning, there was so much blood i couldnt even tell how big it was. They had chewed its head off and left it here on the porch and were nawing on it when i found it. Its not in as bad shape as that cow was last week, that thing was running as fast as it could but they all jumped on it and she fell right down and they killed her before i could get there. Dogs are still hungry and in the house, but killer diddnt want to leave the garage so i left him in there. You best wait until i get back with mutt feed-back in a hour

Also heard recently that more than 1% of the American population is in jail/prison for the 1st time ever.

I often wonder if thieves could surf this forum for users to steal from. A little paranoia here, but I think its a bad idea to use your name and location together on this board. But, luckily most thieves are lazy.

Oh, you guys are soooo mean! Those poor misguided people just need a little help and an encouraging word to prevent this type of behavior. I'm sure that a small check every month to relieve their distress would prevent all this trouble. Oh and free education. Pay them and send them to school to learn a nice trade. That is all that they need, they are just victims of the abusive system.

I am not picking on MCDABS, but we all have to be a lot smarter than what I am reading on this thread. This is one of the better examples of what not to write here, but there are quite a few others in this thread.

Suppose any one of us ever does have a confrontation with a thief/burglar/bad guy/lunatic/ whatever and for some reason, which may be perfectly justifiable, the intruder ends up dead, or even injured.

Now, this is a public forum, and it is perfectly possible for a prosecutor to look up your past posts and decide you were predisposed to shooting or otherwise injuring someone you caught on your property. You will be in a world of hurt, looking at a lot of jail time. Even if you did nothing wrong, you do not have the resources to defend yourself in court and you do not qualify for a public defender if you have any property which could be sold to pay for a lawyer. If the wrong prosecutor gets ahold of your statement here, you will end up bankrupt and quite possibly in jail.

Now, Law Enforcement may well have told MCDABS to plant the guy, but what are the odds they will admit to this in court. Plus, even if they did say it, it doesn't justify murder to have a cop tell you to do it.

Lets try to be smarter.
