Public caneing would work for minor offenses.

Prisons in Mexico run by Mexicans and hands off by Americans would work really well for repeat offenders and capital offenders. Those Mexicans know how to run a prison.....they are good !!!
Be a whole lot cheaper than prisons here.

Us taxpayers have to pay for medical services , operations, etc....for criminals now - somebody with a medical problem just commits a crime and like magic....health care!

Death penalty put into overdrive would work wonders. Also using body parts of non-infected killers after death penalty would supply much needed organs for good people. Just the knowledge of this would be a great deterrent !

All those organs are worth lots of money and would do a lot of good for society. The waiting lists are extremely long.

A criminal put to death has a zero recidivism rate !!!!!!!!!!!! Ain't gonna hurt nobody else.

Did I mention that I have been trying to find time to build some fence? Talk about motivation to get that job going...jeez some people have gall! I can't imagine why they thought they would get away with just moving in.

I guess I need to amend the OP to say "I hate thieves and squatters!"

Sometimes Fences don't do any good. Someone just cut my chain off, opened the gate, and drove off with my 20 foot trailer.

Here here. Couldn't have said it better. But since it's so rare that we put someone on death row to DEATH it wouldn't make that big of a dent in availble organs. but every little bit counts.
I'm always amazed that people feel the need to bury something that will just rot when their death could save other people.

Sorry about the rant.. Just a soap box of mine. Then again I am a tad biased after 3 kidney translpants.

Hope this helps somebody, we had tree stands being stolen from my club almost as fast as we got them up. I got fed up with it. It was to the point I dreaded the phone ringing, knowing it was someone whose stand had been stolen. I searched on the net for a few days hard and found a company in Texas that will either sell or rent a GPS tracking device. I bought one, I had to modify the seat in a two man ladder stand so it wouldn't be easily discovered and put it in a good spot, sure enough,it was stolen, guys, this thing told me by e-mail it was being stolen, what time it was stolen and the route the thieves took going home, it tracked them all the way to their house. it even showed them stopping to buy gas and which pump location they used. I called the Co. sheriffs office, carried a print out of the tracking map with me, they were arrested and prosecuted. With the device on board the thief was a felony.

I got to check on things at the farm today. Looks like I did the right thing by giving the guy a chance to hit the road. Nothing was taken, nothing hurt and only tire tracks left behing. He even picked up the litter that my cousin said he saw laying on the ground.

That GPS device sounds cool. Dixie, you should post a link or the company name so we can check them out.

SageTracker World Tracking Solutions if the link doesn't work you can do a search for WorldTrackingSolutions they're in Brazos Texas. I bought the "battery" unit, but knowing what I know now I should have bought the even smaller unit
