Tractor inside, Wife's brand new car outside.Fortunately for me thats the way she wants it! I do agree with the other post that the tractor will depreciate much less than the car if keep inside.

The good thing about moving the tractor outside is that once it is out there for a few months, in its natural environment, you will begin to accept it for what it should be, a tool that lives and plays in the dirt, not a trophy that needs turtle waxing and Armour-all on the tires. Do you want it to move dirt, or do you want to worship it? :2cents:

Let us know how that works out when you're shoveling out your tractor so you can plow out the driveway. ;)

At least the mice will have a nice home if you put a tarp over it. ;)

Had to move mine outside last weekend, but it's okay, he's an outside tractor. Nonetheless I wanted him to be comfortable so I bought these to make it easy to get him ready to work. Nice size to cover just the operator station (I'm open) and deal with when there's snow / ice.

The quality is awesome and there are a generous number of (heavily reinforced) grommets to tie it down well.

You will be shocked how fast the outdoors will age your machine.

Put the car outside, sounds like you take care of your tractor....keep doing that, if your teen is like 3/4 of them out there the car will be wrecked in a month anyway.

my neighbor left his BX outside for the first 2-3 years of ownership - it's AMAZING how it aged. the plastics are bleached, there is surface rust, etc... and it's only a few years older than mine. nothing a tractor can't handle but it will age the tires and hoses for example much more quickly. for someone accustomed to looking at a barn-stored tractor, i just couldn't do it. put the kid's car outside!

neighbor eventually got one of those shelter deals. it isn't pretty, but it's a lot cheaper than a building. something like THIS

Cant you tack a carport onto the side of your house or garage for the car?
I absolutely hate having anything outside. I even enlarged my 24x20 shed when i bought my 20foot trailer.

Whichever you put outside watch for mice, they love it under the hood. Especially in the air cleaner. They will chew up stuff including the wiring. I vote for the kids car outside!
