How did this happen? From the picture, there is a dirt pile a little ways away, but it mostly looks like your rig just fell over.

Am I correct in assuming no harm done, provided you got the motor shut down very quickly?

Not only a cup holder, but an articulated swivel cup holder so that you still would not spill your drink when something like this happens. Hopefully all is well and no serious damage occurred to anybody or anything.
