I already have a pic of my hoses. It's ugly. Just never taken the time to clean them up. Either that or I'm too lazy.

yes, txs for you pics earlier.

If you want ugly, you should see how my dealer sent my tractor with the 3 rears remotes and top n tilt. They always use the 90 degree angle connectors (down) and had things so screwy that my hoses immediately started to self destruct when raising and lower the 3 pt hitch.

first try. Not quite sure what to do with the set of hoses not plugged in (only have one extra remotes for offset and angle).

Anyone that bought a new rbt3584, did it come with a top link pin? Every 3pt attachment I've bought so far came with one but this one did not.

Yes you can move the cylinders without having the hoses attached, you will need to take the plugs out though.

That was my mistake, I couldn't believe how hard the cylinder was to move when I took it out of the box  I almost thought it was froze up or something was wrong, then I finally realized I needed to take those plastic plugs out

You were smart to order the cylinders from Brian, I saved half the cost and got a better cylinder to boot. Mine already had the angle and tilt, but not the hydraulic offset, and you can really tell the difference between them.

Man, I love those blades. They are one NICE IMPLEMENT.:thumbsup: Hoses look good to me. Maybe try a few zip ties to bundle the hoses together from about the empty bracket on the top of the boom for the angle hoses.

Not sure how high your 3pt lifts the blade with the boom level to the ground, but if that is high enough for most of your moving around, set the top link, unplug it and then plug the offset cylinder in. That way you have tilt, offset and angle for working the blade.

If you need to constantly use the top link to get the blade up high enough for transport, then that may not be a good alternative for now. :(

Need to get a diverter system to be able to have all 4 units available at once. I've needed to do that to my big tractor for years now, have everything to do it just sitting here, no time to do it though. :(

Let us know if my ideas, if you choose to try them, work out for you. Maybe a few more pictures too. ;)

I am pretty impressed with both the blade and the cylinders. Blade is kind of expensive but I am glad I spent the extra bucks rather than go the economy route like EA or something. This thing seems pretty well made, although I haven't used the gauge wheel yet.

Adding the cylinders are a trivial install and I recommend anyone getting the blade to get the offset and angle from Brian. I thought it would be a bit of a hassle but it wasn't. He packaged the stuff awesomely and had hoses and angle connectors and spare pins and clips all supplied. And shipping the blade without the adjusters to me was no problem because LP simply screwed a couple 2 x 4 struts in place of the adjusters.

What I am working on first is ditching and crowning some narrow and very unlevel (in all directions) roads in my woods. So there is a learning curve to find which top, tilt, offset and angle work best at any one moment.

I may be wrong,:confused3: but I would guess that out in you woods may not be the right place to try out the gauge wheel system. What I have found with my RBT45108 is that the blade works best with the boom parallel to the ground. That has the camber of the cutting edge where it works best in my opinion. Once that is set with the top link, my top link doesn't get moved again except for transport. But that is me and my conditions, your conditions are different I am sure.

For now I am not using the gauge wheel in the tight winding roads in my woods. Once done I may take a pass across the center with the gauge wheel though.

I'll pay attention tomorrow as I work some more, and it could be that your advise to keep the top link "fixed" will work for me. I would love to have the offset and angle both connected.

Where I have been using the top link dynamically is it gives me yet another way to tweak where the blade is physically with the blade tilted and angled and offset to the side. I can't describe (don't quite understand yet) the dynamic of tweaking the top under these conditions, but it definitely changes the position of the blade relative to the ground which sometimes seems useful.

Basically I need more time with the blade to better understand the interrelationships. But I am pretty pleased with the potential, and it's a completely different purposed tool for me from my BB.

Also the advice folks had not to have the manual offset (like I had planned to) seems like good advise. Under certain unlevel conditions, offsetting the blade manually would be a wrestling match.

I am sure eventually I will get a fourth rear remote which will be great.

The tilt ratchet mechanism on the blade seems very fragile and exposed (rest of blade seems pretty stout). In fact it was damage before delivery, although I have bent it back a little and I am hoping not have a real problem with it if I am really careful.

What position to folks run their handle (still talking mechanical tilt)? Up seems like it will be hit with when the blade is angled alot, and down also has it a bit vulnerable.

Kind of considering taking off the handle and just slipping it in the hole when I want to actually adjust it.

Sorry can't answer as I have a hyd cylinder on my tilt that I would never give up.

You either have to get another SCV or do as Brian said about the top link so you have both offset and angle and tilt from the 3 point as your blade is manual for tilt. I am tweaking mine very frequently in my current application and would give up if it could not be easily changed.
