I am sorry I got off target at all in this, it is about Titan. I am totally fine with Titan and yes we did get to test fit the replacement mounting plate and it fits fine.

No way can I speak on Titan other than one purchase and no idea about previous products. No idea what products they may make or buy. The local dealer I use, bought my first rear blade from them, proved to be very poor quality. My 27 hp tractor bent it terribly. Was rated for think, about 50hp tractor. It was not made by dealership that sold the blade but they refunded cost of blade. Went on to spend many thousands of dollars with them since then. No doubt they had other bad parts or repair work they did that was not good. But for near 20 years and many times have been very good for me. The more any company sells or repairs or whatever they will have defective parts or bad repairs. As has been said by others it is how they handle such.

Now to the process the company I worked for used, we only built parts for OUR use. Many parts were bent such as these plates not aware of any jig or another other method to hold a part being used for bending. Did not work with the brake but think they used tape measure to set stops for those bends. Easy to read a tape wrong. Many items were as larger and much larger than one of these mounting plates. We did use jigs for parts that were assembled to be welded. I have no idea the type of company you work in or did and really not interested in getting into a side bar here on the process a company does or does not use. No one system is the best for all industries nor all companies in "a" industry, I doubt. This imperfect person does not expect another person or company to be perfect. Rather deal with an imperfect company or person who makes mistakes buts corrects them than to work with a so called perfect company or person. Sorry for the rudeness, not perfect here.

Update on my plate.

Titan responded to my email telling me to use their online warranty form. I tried it and when I attempted to attach a picture it dumped me.

Called and got the ol' "Due to an unusually high call volume......." recording.

Sent an email.

Received an email response from an email I sent with all the info they asked for on the online form, in which I was then instructed to use the online form.

Tried using the form again. This time all was well and it was apparently sent. A short time later, I received a "Subsystem Mail Delivery" message telling me the online form couldn't be delivered due to a fatal flaw.

Sent another email.

When I was about to pull my very few remaining hairs out, I received an email from Titan Support saying they would love to hear what I think of their customer service.

I told them as politely as I could.

Maybe tomorrow will be better. I could probably fix the plate and make it work, but I bought their SSQA plate FOR a project, not TO BE a project.

Hmmm............ Maybe they are swamped. After hearing how great they were with making things right on Tuesday morning I sent them a warranty form with my pictures and told them that I went ahead and fixed it already. I have no leverage but I have nothing to lose either. I got back an auto response saying I would hear back in 24 to 48 hours. 48 hours is just about up and I was disappointed I haven't heard back, not even a "we're sorry but you violated our policy" message but maybe they are over loaded and need more time.

chim, I get what you mean by wanting to work on your project not their project.

The top to bottom dimension should be 16" as in the diagram. Looks like it might be shorter than that.

The top angle is supposed to be 45 degrees, the bottom 120 degrees.

Hi...if ya'll ever need someone to create DXF files for CNC parts cutting from sketches like this, just let me know.

I believe that's the case after reading that they've had trouble with the plates recently. Since the plates are coming with different fab methods, it could be they subbed the fabrication to more than one vendor, and one of them is a problem child? IF that is the case, the plates could ship directly from the outside vendor or just pass through the warehouse at Titan. I deal with in-house fab and fab from a few different outside vendors at work. We've had some pretty goofy things happen in both scenarios.

I'm in a hurry because I didn't expect to get another tractor till Spring. Since it is here now I'd like to get it ready for snow. I haven't advertised the L3200 and it's in the shed with the blower ready to go. I'm anxious to get moving on the plow for the L4240, but it isn't a true emergency.

Your local Bobcat dealer might stock them. They wouldn't be bottom dollar but they wouldn't be bottom of the barrel either.

I'm a little late to the conversation but I had the same problem with Titan plates. I say plates because I bought 3 at one time for various upcoming projects. Also opted for the 3/8 thick material. All 3 plates did not fit correctly just like Gordon's. I repaired them by making a cut in the top lip at each corner plus a two cuts on the lip on either side just past where my loader arm plates would be. I then took a tree felling wedge and hammered it into the 45 Degree area. Several wacks with the sledge on both sides to open up angle just slightly, test fitted to tractor to get a good fit then re-welded the cuts I made. Really only took about 45 minutes each, maybe less after the first one. I know Titan should have been taken to task over the ill fit but it was just easier for me to alter them. Haven't had any problems with them after the fix.

Who's design was this to begin with......Bobcat. All of my Bobcat branded equipment fit with no problems. Where are the Titan plates made?

Well, the 3 point hitch was patented by a Brit (Harry Ferguson) in 1926 and all of anybody's Cat 1 equipment fits my Ford and both Kubotas today. Back in the late 1700's one of Eli Whitney's accomplishments was to manufacture equipment with interchangeable parts. It shouldn't be "rocket surgery" in 2019. I have no idea where most of my implements really come from. Advertisements by the wordsmiths of today can make things appear to be what they are not.

Where are the Titan plates made?

China most likely

And China isn't the problem. The problem is that Titan sells cheap products that are probably produced by the lowest bidder in order to keep costs down. Quality control isn't high on the list of those manufactures
