Sorry you got stuck but glad you got the rain, my cousin in Winnsboro(spelling?) told me about the dry conditions last fall. It appears you guys must be catching up some. Hard to imagine anywhere in Louisiana only getting eleven inches of rain.

Winnsboro is correct. That's NE of here, about 175 miles or so.

Only ELEVEN inches? Wow, and I thought it was dry here last year. It varied greatly because of the "thermal" thunderstorms last summer. Actually, a buddy of mine that lives about 30 miles away, got several rains that we didn't. He probably had 12-15" more than me last year, but his hay crop was still less than normal.
We had 21" last year total, and 28" in 2010. Don't know the exact numbers, but our rainfall has been WAY below average for the past four years. (at least) We may be "catching up" some, but we still have a way to go to overcome the deficit of the last few years. Our annual average rainfall here is 55-60".
