I've read all of this thread and the prior one you linked to. So far this is about the dumbest idea I've seen on TBN in a while. You, the OP insist people here tell you what you want to know and complain when they don't. Then you insist you'll do what you want no matter what, and tell me how to do it. Like a petulant child you may get more then you bargained for in the end. Question is, will you learn anything from it. I think not. Why? Because you pay NO attention to those who tell you what you NEED to hear. That is, what you plan to do is pointless and will not change the performance of your tractor, and very well could damage it possibly irreparably. You ignore or slam such advice, (not advise) and insist that the head gasket is probably the same, the this and that won't matter and I'll fudge the rest....
I cannot believe, so many who said in the prior thread that they were going to bow out are still here, trying their level best to tell you why you should either fix the current tractor's 'problems' or trade it up to what you should have bought before the tier 4 model dominate what's available.
I wouldn't complain that members here tell you what they feel will work, INSTEAD of what you want to hear. They're trying to help you, but you just can't see it. Being obstinate may render your tractor broken and devalued, but you continue to insist that you know what's best. the proof will be in the final results. And the head gasket is often different on turbo engines, like the Saab turbo someone mentioned, for obvious engineering reasons, including the overall engine compression being LOWER on those engines than the normally aspirated ones. But hey, you know it all, so we'll just sit back and watch 'er blow.:confused3:
