I just don't understand why people have no common sense of the term RIGHT OF WAY.

The meaning should be drilled into everyone. I had a guy cut me off, he got out mad, saying he was the next person at the 4-way stop, not me. I asked him if there was such a thing as a LEFT OF WAY right for any driver? He was making a left while I was making a right down the road.

In Ohio, you would have been at fault in an accident if he was at a 4-way stop first and you went first. Doesn't matter what direction you are turning. If it were a two way you would have been in the right turning right. Or if you were going straight, you would have the right of way at a two-way.

Mine makes a ding ding ding when I leave them on then I turn them off

Then you have to remember to shut off. If you utilize the sensor they will shut off automatically.



I’m really hating all the automation, different levers doing different things. Having to remember which vehicle I’m in and whether the lights shutoff automatically or not. 4 different vehicles different brands different eras. It gets old. I think several weeks ago at 2 in morning I was going into work. Went to clear melted frost off window turned my turn signal on instead. Couple minutes later had blue lights flashing behind me. License plate lights burned out. But got to wonder did he see me make mistake with turn signal with it being bar closing time. Where I turned them on at said I was turning into a field

2:00 AM Christmas day. I was on my way to my parent's house and decided to take a ride through the ritzy part of town and check out the decorations... among other things they would line the roads with candles in paper bags so I would run just the parking lights.
I drove through an intersection the way I'd done for 40 years, only to have somebody blow their horn at me. WTF? Looking in my mirror I realized it is now a 4 way stop.

But hey, I still was there first.

You should just go ahead and turn yourself in at the local precinct!!!

That's actually something they look for as an excuse to stop you. Chances are they did indeed see the blinker error. I was stopped in NY for the same thing about 23 years ago. I always thought it was because he knew how fast I was going, before I saw headlights coming up behind me. He had me get out to look at the burned out light, which is the initial drunk test.

we both arrived at the same time. I never said I arrived later.

Even if I have the right of way, I try to make sure the other driver is not going before I go. Remember the saying " You could be right. Dead right"

It doesn’t have to. Because I turned the headlights on in the fog, then it ding ding ding when I got home to remind me to turn them off, when I turn the lights off the switch sits at auto so they come back on the next time if it is dark

There is an intersection here that was converted from a 2 way stop to 3 way. If lost in thought I still find myself wanting to go through it without stopping. Probably been 20+ years since the change.
