It's that time of year ...... Installing the SB200 Snowblower and greasing the auger as I do at the beginning of every season. Is there a grease fitting for the fan on the SB? I couldn't find one and wondered if there is one?

Thanks, DEWFPO

Likewise, I am greasing mine in preparation for the snow season. I checked my owners manual (SB200) and there are only 3 grease zerks on the auger that need attention. According to the manual there is no maintenance point on the fan.

I also apply a liberal coating of grease to the chain to keep it from freezing up.

Good luck with your snow season.

I too spray the chute chain with lithium grease at the beginning of every season. I grease the auger shaft bearing on the left side of the auger (as your looking at it) and I grease the zerk on the far right side of the auger near the motor. Where's the 3rd zerk on the auger?

Hoping for lots of snow this winter after a very dry summer and fall season.

As you are looking at the auger, there are two grease zerks on the right side (180 degrees apart) and there is a single grease zerk on the left side of the auger.

I will have to try the lithium grease spray. Using regular grease works buts it's a mess to apply.

Unlike the two zerks on the right side of the auger, the zerk on the left lubes the bearing and is not directly on the auger. I usually try to warm the grease gun a little bit before zapping the bearing zerk as it seems to help the grease "flow" around the rollers in the bearing. For the chute rotation chain, I use some sort of "graphite-loaded" chain lube. Works great for me but is a little messy. Strangely enough, I know of others who have used chain lube and been disappointed. YMMV.

I do the same, otherwise cold grease is not very easy to pump into the zerks.

We have a 5600 that has a hydraulic leak on the left side of the steering cylinder around the shaft, removed snap ring and can not get the out seal shell to move, trying not to destroy it any suggestions?

Back to the SB200 snowblower topic.. has anyone done anything different with their snowblower skid/shoe arrangement to either get it higher or get it forward? I just tried going to the highest point in hopes of spewing more gravel but it just seems to get the shoes digging into the gravel and the front just augers in.. maybe I should go shorter but it seems like on the toolcat it must hang a little higher than normal skid steer as in float mode the shoes barely touch??

I'm frustrated with the rear shoes on the SB200 as well. I've tried adjusting then a few different ways but can't get them to really do anything useful. But I attribute that to the angle created by my optional 29 inch tires in lieu of the stock 27 inchers.
