I'm in shock... Kubota BX pricing

/ I'm in shock... Kubota BX pricing #81
I had the heavy 60" mower for my BX22 "back in the day" and quickly determined that it was a poor way to mow our property because of the need to remove the BH and FEL to use it and the need to remove the deck to use the FEL and BH appropriately and safely. (The BH is not an easy install/removal on the older machines, either) The deck was way to heavy and difficult to slide in and out from under the machine, especially with only a gravel driveway at that point. I bought a SCAG 54" FreedomZ ZTR and didn't look back...much easier and BETTER mowing results and I could leave the tractor configured. I still have and use both machines, despite downsizing properties two years ago. Oh, and it was easy to sell the mower deck for a few hundred bucks to a local horse farm that apparently beat the crap out the one they had and needed a replacement.

So, I'm getting older and some health issues have cropped up, as they tend to do. Taking on and off the mower deck on my BX2360 is getting tougher. I bought it in 2005 for about 12k, Tractor, 60" belly mower and loader. I saw somewhere that the newer JD and Kubota have made it easier by driving over and a more or less semi-automated hookup.

Doing some online pricing at their sites have left me in a state of complete shock! Is it true that I'm looking at close to 30k now??? Please tell me that I'm doing something wrong or that their SRPs are not near what dealers are charging.....

Thanks....
I bought a 1023 JD 4yrs ago, loader, mower deck open station. Priced the same thing out the other day only difference a closed station DOUBLE the price

The cost of everything has gotten rediculous in just about every market. Depending on where you live, you might try pricing the same package at another dealer not in your state. Last summer I was in the market for a new toyhauler. I live in Colorado about 40 miles from Denver. The dealerships within 100 miles from me were all asking about $54K for the model I was looking for. I ended up finding the exact same model in Omaha Nebraska for $36K. Not a typo, 12K less for the exact thing. I drove the 400 miles to save $12K and did have to pay sales tax on it here when I bought my tags but it was still worth it. The dealerships here know that the average person will get excited about the new models with all the wistles and bells and just finance it rather than walking away and looking for other deals which will take more time and effort. It's about greed in a lot of cases because the dealers know what they can get here so why should they give anyone a break.

I thought campers were crazy expensive until I prices out Harley Davidson trikes when I was picking up some parts for my bike. I couldn't believe that it was close to $50K for one after all of the fees and charges. The stripped down, bare bones new ones started at $32K before fees and charges, etc. Where are we heading to as a Nation. I feel sorry for my kids and future grand kids.

Sorry for the rant!

Kids don't have a shot anymore at starting life. They get buried so fast in debt, it will stunt their growth for life.

There's always an opportunity to buy a tractor for $10k, use it for 5 years while you save up another 10k, sell the first one probably for $10k, and so on.

Buyers always have the choice to find a solution that is a smart financial decision for them.

If a buyer is sitting on a pile of cash and doesn't mind spending $25k on a new SCUT, and enough buyers like that exist, prices will stay high. But my guess is that everybody is going to tighten the purse strings (they already have) because the prices have gone up too quickly for us to not notice.

it’s the cumulative affect of everything costing more, leaving less to make large purchases.
