Good answer, John! I first bought a posthole digger and shared it with a neighbor for years. When I needed it, it would be hanging on a tree limb at his place and when he needed it, it would be hanging on a tree at my place (just the way it worked out). By both of us having co-ownership, that PHD got used quite a bit.
When I got married, my wife had a PHD also. We used hers to put in the fence around the garden last year and it's been sitting idle ever since, hanging from a tree limb.
They are great to have when you need them, but there are long, long times between each use for me. If I needed one and didn't have it because I sold it, I'd probably cuss like a sailor.
