Gary,

The dozer is OK for smoothing the ground, but I much prefer backdragging the FEL for smoothing things out. More control and nothing is tore up.

Eddie,

I was skeptical before I purchased my BB, but I have found with a little practice it has been one of my best investments, second only to my tooth bar. A couple of weeks ago, I cleaned up about a mile of my road. I cannot imagine back dragging my FEL that far.

Gary,

Sometimes I too wonder about my logic!! :D But it works for me, I'm comfortable with it, and I know that the results will be what I'm looking for. :)

I would say at this point in my short tractor career, the post hole digger.

My neighbor came over to help me hook it up for the first time. I then proudly augered a hole, dropped a post in and sat with a grin on my face. He then jumped on the tractor, had me hold a fence post, then pushed it straight into the ground using just the front loader.

HOWEVER, the PDH is brilliant for planting trees. I put in 260 sitka spruces this year. I augered about 12" down with a 9" diam auger, backfilled by hand. That would have been a lot of digging.

Wish I didn't have a BB. I ripped the bottom pin for the left 3-point lift arm completely off the underneath of the axle mount today. Hit another LARGE rock and actually stalled the tractor.

Just finished drilling and welding it up. Cub cadet wants $331 for a new U-bracket with the pins installed in it. I hope it works, then I'll be happy with my BB again :)

The PHD was useful until we got the driver........and now it has sat for almost 15 years unused.

After than, it would be the round bale mover. It is extremely useful, but, we haven't had any round bales in a decade so it's just sitting on rotting tires and collecting rust.

I have both conventional and box blades and they both have their uses. I used the BB to dig out an eroded drainage lane a couple of weeks ago and it worked perfectly.

The most useless implement that I don't have seems to be these 4-in-1 box blades. Essentially the same tool as a conventional box blade........but with hydraulics and an extra couple of thousand dollars. Uh.........no. I'll just the extra 5 minutes to swich the teeth and be just fine, thanks.....

Ouch, I can understand how that could happen but what were you doing. I would think that you had an issue with the 3 point are before you ripped it apart. I know with my box blade I work with it at a rather slow speed so I can see what I am hooking with it. Sorry to hear that happened

Rear blade and a 3pt boom pole...both have been sold. BB works better for what I need it for and FEL replaced boom pole.
When I need a PHD, I don't think I will have any problem finding a good used one with low hrs:)

My Dad's backhoe. Not that it's not a good implement, but every time we hook it up, it means we're having to do manual labor! :D

I wish my dad had the backhoe, manual labor is when you don't have it. :)
