Yeah, you are correct that you can interpret that either way.That was my first thought too except he said the machine "stalls out" sometimes. I take that to mean the engine literally is working too hard and stalls under the load and I think upping the system pressure would only make that worse. If by "stalls out" he means the hydraulic bypass is opening then I would absolutely be looking at upping the system pressure.
Plus, if the engine stalls under load, then is it due to running at too low RPM? Those diesels usually do fine at fairly low speed, but running at working RPM is better. Gas engines are VERY intolerant of low speeds.
