Well, there is always PracticalMachinist, but if you say anything about chinese import machines, or act too much like a hobbyist, you will often get chewed up. Not always, but there are many members with serious chips on their shoulder about these points. Or Homeshopmachinist or chaski for the hobby types

Looks like they may have evolved a little toward professional machining. I'd start with their "Fabrication" forum.
