Irrigation System

Of course Ralph you must be speaking for folks back East. Here in California we won't see much if any rain now until November. Irrigation is what everyone one out here does from about April on. It's probably what helped RainBird, Hunter etc., so successful. Rat.

Chris, mind my asking what size pump you have on your well to get that many GPM?

My well produces 35 gpm, my pump won't do that much, but I'm safe from it running dry when I'm irrigating the lawn.

I have a well that recovers an estimated 35 GPM. I have a 1.5 HP submersible pump that pushes 15 GPM at the head. I run 10 zones with 5 Toro High Volume heads on each at the maximum needle and I maintain 55 PSI. I put 1350 gallons of water on my lawn a day. Takes 1.5 hours to water and acre and a quarter. I use the Scots 4 step program and my lawn looks like a carpet. I usually don’t start watering here until mid June. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
