Is there any food you do not like?

I have no idea how my mother looked liver and onions. I was too busy sitting at the table with an empty plate in front of me and a fork and knife in hand.

Never had it since then.

We had fried liver and onions about one time a week when I was young . . . wife will make it when I bug her enough (she will not eat it).

I don't consider salmon to taste fishy. Trout, on the other hand, tastes fishy to me.

You should have adopted a cat. On the few occasions that my mother served canned fish, after everyone else left the table and were watching TV or reading, the cat somehow managed to eat my dinner. I have no idea why we occasionally had canned fish. We fished for salmon all the time and always had a freezer full. Salmon is one of my favorite foods.

Yep. I've gone trout fishing many time. Tried it baked, broiled, grilled, etc. I like it, but it still has a fishy taste to me compared to about all other fish.

I love sushi.
But can't stand Blue Fish. We used to have fresh caught by my family or neighbors when growing up.
Tried it so many different ways, but it always tasted like spoiled oil to me.

During Lent, we used to attend half a dozen fish fries with my wife's family each year. My father in law would always order a fish basket and then say it tasted like fish. Not fishy. Fish. Tastes like fish. And then he'd make a face like he disliked it, but eat it all and get 2nds.

Some of the best fish I have ever eaten was FRESH Walleye and FRESH Red Snapper. Absolutely wonderful...fried. We don't often come by really fresh fish in this part of the country, unless we catch them ourselves. The technique of soaking liver in milk to remove the bad taste also works for fish.

I really like Indian food. I need to expand my recipes and get the spices down. Something I am working on.

If anyone did not know, curry is NOT something used in traditional Indian recipes. The Brits invented it.

I made my own Garam Masala once, took me hours to grind the spices fresh.
I like Indian food but can't eat most of it due to butter and curd.

Masala Dosa was one of my favorites while in India.
So many good dishes that are hard to find here, and where I work we have real Indian restaurants.

And agree, yellow curry and Items like vindaloo are British creations like LoMein is American, not Chinese.

Before covid we used to frequent an Indian buffet. Wow it was fantastic about 20 different dishes and four desserts.

I‘m not a fan of any internal organs and I refuse to eat onions. I don‘t particularly like garlic or ginger but I can eat it in small amounts.

Sweet potatoes prepared with brown sugar,
peas; I've hated them since I was little.
