Yanmar 155D
Having an issue on my little Yanmar YM155D. When I push the lever to drop it/lower it, it seems to bog the engine. No issue on the up stroke just the downs stroke. This is with an empty bucket. Any recommendations to check, the previous owner put a new pump on and I'm wondering if maybe it might be to big of a pump or something?

This is just looking for ideas or what to look at, I don't have specifics yet. Still new this whole tractor business.

I would suggest lowering the loader to the ground. Shut engine off and move joystick in all directions to remove any trapped pressure and then disconnect and reconnect the quick disconnects for lift-lower function on the loader. If one of these gets partially pulled out it will restrict or stop flow creating symptom you are describing.

Also try moving the loader in all directions multiple times as if the pump was replaced maybe there's air trapped in the lines and cylinders causing cavitation. Moving the loader to max directions for all functions can help bleed the system.
