I ordered two 5000 lb. jacks, will get them welded on this coming Thursday.

Amazing how much I learn from this site. I might just survive getting this tractor!

I got a brake controller installed on my truck last week, and a set of Firestone air levelers. I do not have to trailer it far to handle all my children's Projects, but I want to be safe, (then there is getting up to my land where I manage for hunting). Ordered my chain and binders from Tulsa Chain. Think I am about ready to roll.

Got the jacks installed yesterday, quite happy with the set-up.

Looks good. I couldn't go that route, as my trailer is already max legal width and I wanted the jacks to always be there. Taking them on and off wasn't the best way for me to make sure they were always there. So, I went this direction. Works great and I've loaded an 18,000 dozer. I will say that you need to be careful that you leave a little room for the trailer to sag under the weight of the machine, or you will find that you have a stuck jack. In my case, I can move the machine forward to remove weight from the back of the trailer, but with a smaller trailer, you may not have that room.

Incidentally, these can't be removed from the trailer unless the rear end is raised abnormally high. When extended they are flush with the top of ramp.

I also always weld a center support on the ramp pivot pens. If you load track machines, it really helps to keep from bending that pin. You can see the extra support.

I just use cheap jack stands. carry 'em in pickup. quick & easy.

This is the easiest and least expensive solution to the problem.

Worriedman50, I'm not being critical, but would just like to know. How are you supposed to lift sideboards off your trailer with the dovetail stake pockets being a different angle than the main body pockets? ~~ grnspot

Nice catch
I guess he will have to make a small sideboard that hooks to the big part.
