JCB 210-S back hoe ????

Does any one own or have used a JCB 210 back hoe? Whar can you tell me about it. How would it compare to a Bob Cat B300 (Earth Force 4) (Ir 375) Are they single speed, or gears, How do they hold up? Is there enough room in the cab to move around (or cramped). I have seen a 212 but it is too big for my use. Must stay around 10000lbs Havent seen a 210 in person so have no idea how much smaller than a212 or larger than the Bob cat B300. One with 5000 hrs (alot) how much engine life left in it?. Are they shuttle shift?

hey john,
i haven't seen one in person yet. however i went by the JD dealer and found they had changed over to JCB for yellow machines. still selling the green ag tractors. he saw my B300 on the trailer and commented that he thought it was a diffrent color JCB. they seem to be very similar. even the pictures look the same. from what i found out they seem to match up with the IR570 best, running around 55HP. i am very impressed with what i heard so far. waiting to hear back on whether they will offer an AC in the cab version. they are a little heavier than the B300 but not much. i am very interested in them and look forward to a demo. i don't remember the price but do remember it sounded competitive for what it is. let me know if you find anything out.

I have seen a couple used ones on E-Bay. And I was trying to find out a little information on them. I like my EF 4 but I have some dislikes about it as with any machine. I would like to have a cab for one. I don't know if the two could really be compared together.

i was of on which model you were asking about. i was mixing it up with this one.
JCB Americas - 2CX 12 FT
also the HP is more than what i was thinking. i do like the four wheel steering and the cab though.

Hello Met, I think the one you looked at is different than ther JCB 210, I think some of the small backhoes, the seat simply flips over to reverse. I like ther room in the EF4. I have never seen a 210 JCB in person, and would like to find more about it. But havent run into one to look at yet or any one who owned one. I dont think they evey make the 210 any more. It had all the wheels the same size like the Bob cat 300.
