Re: Jim\'s Pole Barn Project - hopefully

This is from an angle looking at the north side. BTW, the tar paper hanging off is the remains of a row that we had used as protection of the row of OSB we already had on the roof. It mangled pretty good when we pulling it back to put the next row of OSB on so we decided to just replace it, but it got so dark on us we didn't get a chance to remove yet. The little green button nails have it stuck pretty good. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Re: Jim\'s Pole Barn Project - hopefully

Looking up from the inside. Sure does look good seeing it completely covered. If you'll look real close you can see that we ran into a little bit of problems with the trusses being warped from where weren't able to get them covered. We had pulled as much as we could to line them up, but it got to a point we couldn't pull any more and we had to scab a 2x4 in beside the truss to give the OSB something to rest on. We used a lot of nails so it should be OK.

Re: Jim\'s Pole Barn Project - hopefully

Hopefully now that it is fully covered it'll help dry some of this up. I think now during the evenings and such when I can't work on the roof, I'm going to start pulling some of the top soil out and get ready to have some gravel hauled in and get the PVC pipe run for electric and see if I can get the water line run.

This is where the trusses were laying last fall before we put them up, but more importantly you can the damage done when you start moving the tractor and forget to lift the sub-soiler connected to the 3PH. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Re: Jim\'s Pole Barn Project - hopefully

Jim, Thanks for the progress update. I know all too well what it feels like to only have half a roof on. I have to get started soon on my facia and soffits. I am going to wait until the snow melts around here before I attempt to start on them.

Keep the pictures coming. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Jim\'s Pole Barn Project - hopefully

Jim, Barn looks really good I like to see some more pics as you go along.

I'm currently working on my pole barn project and we both seem to be at the same point of completion. I just got my roof on yesterday, (metal)

I started the project in the beginning of November and can't wait to finish. Weather has been the worst part..pretty cold up here in Central NY State, and all the snow we got is adifferent story all together. I got to put my facia and soffits on next then the windaos doors and siding --I CAN'T WAIT--!!!

Ps How do I post pics on the forum??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
