I got stuck finishing up my 420 loader refurbishment. I need one more
hose, and I wanted to order it when I had other stuff to order at the
same time.
I have replaced all of my short hoses (#4) with 12" pre-made hoses with JIC
female fittings. These hoses can be purchased for less than $10 each
from many sources, and they are better quality vs. OEM. JD sells these
hoses locally for $58 each! Since I used pre-made hoses, I needed to
get some fittings: the cyls use SAE ORBs, and the hardlines use ORFS.
So I got the necessary fittings, which allows me to do the short hoses
for less than $20 each, total cost.
In the finished photo you can see my installation, next to the reinstalled
hardlines. Note that the replacement hardlines run $82 from Deere, so I
put some time into straightening mine (#16, 17, 18, 19).
